My B has a starter solenoid and push button start. It is still 6v. This is the one that I sleeved the front crank. It was starting ok all day. It never did start real smooth. When I went to start it the last time the solenoid would just buzz. I put a charger on it and the battery said 6.26v. A properly rebuilt starter will more than likely outlive you. I know using welding cables cured the hard starting issue with one of my tractors. ALso 6 volt batteries ain't made like they used to be. The starter for the B, C & CA have more teeth on the drive than on the WC & WD. Armatures are all the same. B, C, CA & WC have 2 shoe fields while WD has a 4 shoe field, gives more torque.
