May 19, 2020 · 7 seas offers great variety and fun. probably my fav map type, though I crazylike coninents&island and lakes mapscript and if I don't go specific VC, any fractals are fine. But it also depends on preffered victory: domination: Terra. science: pangea / 7seas. diplo: definitely lakes/inland sea in favor of lakes.

Seven Seas December challenge summary. VI - Game Story. Finished on Turn 326 with a Domination victory. Island plates is one of my favorite map types. If you lower the sea level it can turn into a spindly pangaea, or if you raise it you get a less splintered archipelago. I probably play 80% fractal, 10% primordial, 10% seven seas. yeah it always seemed to me to be the most "realistic" of all the options.

Seven Seas is my favorite map. It's random enough to feel exciting but more reliable than Shuffle or Primordial which can be unplayable imo. I'm really just excited to play Victoria on Small Continents. My problem with canals is that they only cover 1 tile, they should cover from 1 to 3 tiles. Covering three tiles is exactly what the panama canal can do.
