Yes, it is normal. I purchased the Kaplan Qbank and had the same problem. My scores ranged from 50-60% correct most of the time. At first I freaked out but then discovered several peers scored in the same range with Kaplan so it seems to be a common thing. I thought the Kaplan tests were harder than the real test, honestly.
