Then my father got the 81 once my grandfather passed away and now my father has given it to me. The gun hasn’t been fired in at least 25 years, probable more.It looks very much like a first variation Model 81 DL made prior to WW II. The difference between a DL and the other Model 81's is that the DL had target style peep sights and equipped with sling swivels.
