The random box I made 25 years ago from a Nintendo cartridge container and foam, back when l lived in Oregon where steelhead were around. Sort-of an “A” shape, if that makes sense. Now, not much of an issue if one remains conscious and can deploy the PFD to the intended vest position but, if there is a loss of consciousness, the PFD may not work as intended. I have not found that taking the time to strip the fly back to the boat is productive with crayfish flies.
