May 17, 2021 · Personally I think that Eu3's graphics are much better. I love paper map compared to Eu4's... whatever THAT is. Ck3 and VIC3 (like it seems thus far) is huge step up in both quality of visuals and art style itself. EU4 lacks latter especially. But mechanics wise I think, for me, Eu4 blows Eu3 out of the water there. Atwix, the man who knew more about EU4 Personal Unions than anyone else IMO, who played some amazing campaigns on twitch, has passed away. As this is our first attempt of dynamically crafting EU4 gameplay, balance is yet to be tweaked. Cultures have been expanded greatly, and CK3 cultures are not imported on 1:1 basis - instead they are split up. Italian can break into Tuscan, Lombardian, Umbrian, Venetian and so on, as the converter tries to emulate EU4 style of cultural groups.
