Mar 8, 2015 · I can't risk a brick especially when downgrading since there's a high brick risk with the n3ds on 2.1.0 since the system never came with that firmware, and there's no n3ds firmware for it. afaik, it's a partial downgrade to prevent a brick, but it still sounds risky. pinky, Mar 12, 2016. #18. 16,469.
Should have saved that band backup. They were saying that without a NAND backup, you won't be able to get your 3DS working again, so it's now only useful as a paperweight. (If you haven't heard of a paperweight, it's something you put on top of paper to hold it down so it doesn't blow away. It's like calling something a brick.)This is a fun one. if you have another 3ds of the same model, combining colors in a shell swap can look really nice. Keep your eyes out on eBay for a "new" 3DS with a broken screen-- they typically sell for about $35-- and do a body swap, replacing the broken screen with your current, good one. if you sell it let me know!
