In Copenhagen there is really no need for a car - public transport is excellent and the city centre is very compact and walkable. Tivoli is great. We also enjoyed the architecture museum, the exploratorium science museum, and Louisiana ... I recommend you to stay there at least three full days. If you have more time, you can consider the idea to visit the beautiful castles near the city, such as Frederiksborg (wonderful!) or perhaps going to Malmo (a small but so nice city in Sweden- almost 15 minutes by train from Copenhagen). Go for Copenhagen only. Much to see, and Aarhus would include way too much transport for such a short stay.
