I have experienced tagged and cursed on a raid where I was fully geared. No clue what was the trigger in this case and probably a bug. If you put gear on, it breaks the tag. Say you kill a few scavs and toss on a rig or armor. Pistol only (with spare mag of course) works consistently for me.

Kinda sorta have a weapon that's cursed in a good way. It's an SV-98, decked out with the new furniture and a Vudu.
