A question from a lounge regular--I'm looking for advice for a guitar cabinet mic and considering Sennheiser.Is the Sennheiser E906 preferable to the E609? Both models have a noticeable peak @ 4 kHz, and the E906 has a three position attenuator to work with that peak. I have used both mics before but never back to back, but can't figure out which I liked more. -the e609 sounds more open, transparent, and better on clean tones. Can sound a bit brash on overdriven tones. -The SM57 is more congested, more colored. Sounds pretty good with cleans, but rips with overdriven tones.
