All the power stuff makes it really nice. Especially the cruise for me. Adding more power is very simple. However, if the Allison can only handle another 80-90 hp without damage. A 4L80E would probably self destruct in short order with another 90 hp and additional torque. I think it's the added torque that would kill it.

As it's already been mentioned, a stock factory frame will handle even 1,000 HP if the only use will be on the street with standard radial tires, since the tires will spin all over the place in every gear at full throttle.
