You don't need to make any changes to the TWiLight Menu++ files before using the updater. HOWEVER, if you have your saves in the same folder as your roms, you'll need to make sure you put them in a folder called "saves" inside the roms folder. If your .sav files are in the same folder as the .nds ROMs, move them to a folder called saves, which is in the exact same folder as the .nds ROMs.Twilight menu is just a menu. DS games are run through the ndsbootstrap which comes packaged with twilight menu. Any other console you start up through twilight menu is using a packaged emulator designed for DS and run through ndsbootstrap. In the YSMenu folder holds the YSMenu R4 & TTMenu dat files. I have both those folders for backup.
