Id be mounting a scope and using it for recreational shooting and hunting. I finally found a gun club to join within driving distance that has ranges out to 600yds. Oct 18, 2020 · Not all Rock-Ola receivers are stamped M14. A very small number were stamped PRM -1. I was informed this stood for PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF MARYLAND. Not being stamped M14 made them legal in Maryland as well as New Jersey. The receivers were forged by BULA Forge. It is my understanding they were made before James River Armory moved to Va.
The JRA M14 is closely patterned after the original M14 that was adopted in 1959.This rifle features a traditional walnut stock, standard G.I. parts, and one 20-round magazine. UPC GDC0000309057I just received my JRA this past Wednesday. The only magazine that locked into placed without forcing it was the one included with my M14. I bought a few other Check Mate magazines which was the brand included with the rifle and I had to press very hard to have them lock.
