It looks like it might be from the gasket on the VTEC solenoid assembly. Unlike the bolts on the valve covers that automatically stop, I'm nervous that these bolts might get over-torqued (which I have a tendency to do). Apparently, Snap-On makes a preset 8.7 ft-lb torque wrench for the Honda Express Service technicians, that is to be used solely for the purpose of installing the oil filter.
