RLcraft is far more demanding than vanilla minecraft. The fact that even without shaders the game's FPS drop is perfectly normal unless you have the newest computer that came out just yesterday. Once Optifine is in, find a shader you wanna use (I recommend Chocopic, Sildurs or SEUS those are my favorites) make sure the shader is compatible with 1.12.2.
