At the end of this 15 seconds, your generation 1 Ring Chime will be factory reset. Ring Chime Gen 2 and Ring Chime Pro. Factory resetting your Ring Chime generation 2 and your Ring Chime Pro is a little bit easier than factory resetting the original model. Ring updated a lot of their devices to be easier to initiate a factory reset.
Unlike a normal reset, you can try performing a “Factory Reset” which will initiate the update to the firmware and re-start the set-up procedures. Press and hold down the reset button for 10 seconds (I would personally hold it down for more like 20 seconds) and release it to power cycle the Chime Pro. Then complete the set up. Shot in the dark..... unplug your modem and router for about ten minutes. Reboot everything and see if it helped. Reinstall the software on your device then try connect. If not call ring customer support and follow instructions. They can tell you if the ring pro 2 is broken or not. If you already have another Ring device installed, simply open the Ring app. 3. Tap "Set Up a Device". Tap "Set Up a Device" then select "Chimes". 4. Scan the QR code or MAC ID barcode on your Ring device.
