I believe everyone right now starts at the same standing with every trader, when the game is fully released it may cut down on how many quests you need to do to get to king rank on traders. I waited until they had a sale to upgrade just to save a little more. I mostly exclusively play Tarkov so it was worth it to me. Absolutely not. Just stick to your edition and do not upgrade. Check the requirements for other stash levels. If you have the money to spends and you like the game enough, go for it.
