Kawasaki prairie 400 problems.

It's been sitting for 3 years and he wanted to get it running for use on his horse farm to haul hay and feed during the winter. I'm having problems getting it to start. Here's what I done so far: Replaced fuel tank due to cracked top and leaking with used one. Replaced fuel lines from tank to shutoff and carb. hello.. well for the rear brakes id take the drums off and clean it all up. if it sat for a long while then all the piviot points are probably rusted and bindin.and then take some 80 grit sand paper and clean the rust off the drum to shoe face. for the front do the same thing take the caliper loose and clean all piviot or slide points. use ...Put some carb cleaner. It's probably the spring loaded gear selector fork under the shifter assy behind the rear head. it's VERY easy for one side of that spring mechanism to fall off when assembling. this way you don't get a full throw when putting it in gear with the hand shifter.
