I want to run a 300blk upper on my ks47. Theoretically, a 556 circle 10 mag should work with 300blk. It seemed like the KS47 barrel was way over gassed, shooting it the recoil was more like shooting an AR10 than an AK or SKS. I understand that the Green Mountain barrels are more moderately gassed.The magwell and release on the KS47 is easier to use and less fickle than most any AK I have used. It’s really a sweet shooting little gun. Basically, the KS47 uppers are wider to allow for AK mags to fit. In order to make a standard upper work, you would need to add material to it. This can be done be welding aluminum to a standard upper, and then machining it for KS47 specs. It is definitely doable, but it would take the right tools, right knowledge, and the time and desire to do it.
