The new exotics are weighted with a higher chance to drop than others in that slot... until you unlock it. Once you have gotten it the first time, it just gets added to the pool. At that point, all exotic chests have the same chance to drop. There's nothing you can do to specifically farm rolls for Omnioculus. 5.

One day I ran lost sectors 5 times and got to exotics. The other day I ran it 30 times to finally get one. If you can do the master one then your chances are much better in getting that drop. If you can't then be prepared to grind it if you really want that exotic. You can going for exotics till daily reset.

Final Thoughts: 151 Master lost sectors. 35 exotics. 15 - 20 hours over 5 days JUST from successful runs. Does not include time spent from the times I failed and wasted 6 - 10 minutes per fail. Master isn't much better than legend when it comes to drop rate. Unless your clear time for the lost sector is roughly the same on both difficulties, I'd say it's probably better to just run legend. It's around a 25% chance on legend with platinum iirc, and 33% on master.. though I might be wrong.
