It’s considered cheating and if caught, yes, you’ll be banned and lose your account. If you’re playing on console you’re expected to be using a controller just as everyone else is expected to as well. You’re not handicapping yourself (as you disingenuously said in another reply) as everyone is supposed to be using the same input method.

Well, the reason I asked is because the whole point of why XIM was scary was because it could lie that it was just a normal official controller and thus undetectable. The console can always detect it, the issue has always been games not being coded in any way to punish or even take into account the console detecting it.

My xim matrix is connected to xbox and i use mouse n controller together. Its weird but i use left hand controller n right hand mouse. My mouse doing is 16000 and thats what i have it in my xim manager. No matter what mouse sensitivity i use on ADS setting, it still feels really fast.

Most likely they are implementing similar XIM detection tech that some other similar games have done recently. This type of tech wasn't commonly available until the last 1-2 years.
