It was checked & the voltage regulator went out its pushing 16amps. I replaced it back in 2013 no problem. I just got my old one back going to check if it still fits. I took a quick look at the 2011/2012 Honda service manual and it appears removal of the evaporator core requires removal of the blower unit, which requires removal of the glove box, an ECU module and a few dash panels, but not the whole dashboard.

BTW, depending on how loose the positive cable was, that could have caused failure. on the good testing already. If it were me, I'd remove the alternator, quickly disassemble and inspect things such as the brushes.

Disconnect plugs and wires to alternator, push out of the way. One 10mm screw on Alt bracket. 3 screws on Alt - 2 top ones are 12mm, bottom is 14mm.
