Sep 8, 2019 · I have not seen reports of auto stop failure to restart on gen9 cars when the car has no other serious symptoms. Being a 2018 I'd take it to a dealer and have them diagnose. My guess is a sensor issue, battery issue, loose ground wire, or ECM problem. I believe there are even a couple bulletins and a service update for the ECM in the 18s. Just had a customer with the same issue. Code p305f both batteries are new. Radio shut off once the vehicle restarted on start/stop. The fix is the 175 amp mega fuse that’s located on the fuse block above the positive terminal of the main battery. Replaced fuse for $7 dollars and problem is solved. Like.No ECM or OBD port type bypass on the 2019; the 2018+ 1.5T ECM is locked so you can't tune or bypass. As an example, you can see Trifecta's Auto Stop delete and tune options end at 2017 HERE. Not many GM options left without Auto Stop anymore.
