John Deere 210C. My JD 210C has a problem with the shuttle shift will go in reverse but not forward. I raised the wheels off the ground and from under the tractor the shaft turns slowly in reverse while in neutral, will speed up in reverse, will stop then turn slowly, then stop again in forward. Any help will be appreciated.

When in low-range forward, it will occasionally pop out of gear. It seems to happen more often when cold. In the transmission, reverser and hydraulic tank you need oil that meets a John Deere spec of J20C or J20D. If your oil is low in the reverser (dipstick in door in front of windshield, right side) you may have this type of problem.
