Sep 11, 2022. #1. I'm looking for subjective opinions on a compact system. I think the Zfc may fit the bill for a travel/take everywhere camera w/ kit lens. Both the 16-50mm and 28mm 2.8 lenses are not perfect. Both are compact, one is faster, one is more versatile, both are of average optical quality. To complicate it there's the Viltrox 23mm ...It is fastest on the D500 and Z 9. And noticeably slower on the Z 6 and Z 7. On the Z 9, the AF performance of the adapted 500PF is just as fast and accurate as the native 100-400. Also, on the Z 9 there is essentially no loss in AF performance using a TC-14 behind the 500PF or a TC 1.4x behind the 100-400.Feb 9, 2022. #2.
