Jan 4, 2018 · Perhaps the signal is too strong and overloading the tuner. Something on your cable feed may have changed and the tech will check your signal levels. AND, that a USB cable is to connect the TA to the TiVo.
We are having the same issue, have had 2 service calls, and today received a new cable card and high split converter. No change, after pairing/activating, still get the V58 message on all channels.For now, running brand new coax straight from the wall to the Tivo, pending getting a new surge protector. At least the thunderstorms here have been non-stop for the past 48 hours! Usually it seems to happen if I go up and down through the channels. It seems to be when I try to go past 19-1. Then it will not go to the next channel which is 15-1.

Aug 1, 2020 · This issue has popped up in the past with the NDS cards and V58 errors in 2015.. Back then Tivo did add some additional code to deal with the issue much like Silicon Dust did. Getting Tivo Engineering to dedicate resources to making their software work with some misconfigured cable system is another story.

TiVo cable card slot problem; TiVo firmware problem; If it was a TiVo firmware problem I would think others would have reported it, so seems unlikely. I guess the same would be true for cable card firmware problems. Is there a way to check when the last firmware update was made?

Sep 14, 2014 · I sometimes get this happening too. Usually if I power cycle the tuning adapter it fixes the problem (at least for a few weeks).
