I prefer to carry the C2. You give-up a little shoot-ability for size. The C2 grip fits my hand perfectly. If you go with the P, just take off the magwell for carry. (you'll need a shorter MSH pin). For me, the P falls into an occasional carry, mostly range gun. The C2 is the opposite.

Anyone find no magwell on the P more comfortable? I took the magwell off my Staccato P to make it a little thinner for carry, and I noticed the grip feels a lot more comfortable without the magwell protruding at the bottom. Anyone else notice this? It flush fits 120mm C2 mags with a full length mainspring housing. This can also be done with the stock glass reinforced polymer Staccato grip by notching it. Dec 29, 2019 · I just bought my first STI Staccato P 4.4” 2020 model. I personally love the grip. I am in Alaska and I just put 500 rounds through her in -1deg f. The grip was very positive and perfect for my large hands when I loose all feeling. Was able to maintain a firm purchase on the firearm in all stages of draw to reholster.

The Staccato had come with three 17-round magazines, and I intended on doing some reloading exercises to put that flared magwell to use. The first thing I noticed about this pistol is the one thing I would change about the weapon - the position of the slide release, which in my opinion, impacts shootability.

Between the two it is a wash as to which is faster/easier. As far as size goes, the guns are virtually identical. The only 2 differences are that the P is a half inch longer (not much of an issue with concealing). And that the P is about a half inch longer (makes a surprisingly huge difference in concealing). That's why I wanted to remove the magwell. Again; when the gun operates normally, the magazines drop out as they should.
