Funnily enough Maul was the first conquest character after CAT, so you stopped playing at the wrong time it seems. Maul is only available from the Proving Grounds event, which takes place once a month, straight after Conquest ends. Alright well that explains why i havent seen him in the store. The event runs every 4 weeks, and you can get 20 shards per toon. You can refresh any given tier twice for a crazy amount of crystals. So in theory you can get up to 60 shards/event, but it's costly. So if you're starting with 0 shards and doing 2 refreshes on a given tier, it will take roughly 6 months to unlock any given toon.
