The paint is chipped in between the chrome trim on the lift gate. It is a very odd place to have a chip. 1) Check / adjust tire pressure like was mentioned. This is very important for handling, fuel economy, and not to mention extending your tire life. When my '08 Tahoe LTZ is in 2wd and I turn my selector dial to 4wd hi, I can hear the transfer case motor make a quick noise like it's trying to turn but it definitely does not engage. Remove the four screws , gently pull part. You see two little finger that are touching the two small circular arks. You will notice excess grease on the finger ends and on the board. Take some spray electrical cleaner and clean the two circular arks and the two fingers . Use dielectric grease small amount on the fingers.The 4.8 in the Tahoe is a good match perhaps not the best match depending on your needs or wants but it's a good match. As far as the aftermarket, the 4.8 can untilze anything bolt on that was intended for the 5.3 as they are the same engine with the only difference being diplacement.
