I found a 1897 take down Winchester for a little over $500. It was an original long barrel full choke gun that was already cut down to a riot gun length. I was hoping for info on a Winchester 1897 shotgun I acquired. It appears to be in Trench gun configuration and was curious as to whether it is authentic. Serial number is E 677857. It has a 4 hole heat shield/bayonet adaptor. I did not see any military type markings.
