it's because you used the save file that already had the maximum hearts/stamina. there is probably a separate value in the files that disables upgrading completely once you reached the maximum. just make a fresh save file and edit that instead. or just use the editor to manually give you the upgrade. Cemu in particular has graphics packs built in for BotW that can ridiculously up the quality of the game, and almost all mods are built with the WiiU iteration in mind. Yuzu is also harder to use than Cemu, with the latter working off just the game files whereas some titlekey shenanigans is required with Yuzu.If your switch is hacked you might be abke to get the save and run the game on the Yuzu emulator for the Switch version of the game. However its not anywhere near as good yet. Upload your save file and change it to switch, then download it. I don't tried it. You can convert your save file from a wii u format to a nintendo switch format but you will have to hack/mod your nintendo switch in order to transfer that save file (not worth doing).
