My newest method is 8-7 if I’m low on troops as they still give 8 to 11 of them and sometimes a sword or backpack, then I bounce up to 19-9 or 20-2, which seem to give at least one, and typically 3 of these. Yep, all the color specific trainings are essentially placeholders atm. Using them actually halves your overall progression. Just use normal trainings, feed heroes 1 at a time (not with 10), and be happy.
