I think that grade deflation is probably the wrong way to look at it. More likely our grades are more resistant to the national trend of grade inflation that seems to affect many schools. Even so, i've seen stats that show that the average grades today are significantly higher than they were 20 years ago.}}

Whenever it comes down to choosing which college to attend, I always see people write "go to x, the grade inflation will make it easier for you to get a job/get into grad school" or "don't go to y, the grade deflation will ruin your chances at med school"

T20s who are known for grade DEFLATION include: WashU, Cornell, Princeton, MIT, Johns Hopkins, CalTech.
