On October 21, 2021, for our next adventure, we booked a trip to Egypt through Exoticca. The trip is set to commence on October 4, 2022. We paid in full and did everything asked. Then the problems started. We had to call to get our flight information as Exoticca did not send it to us. Exoticca was unresponsive.

I've been living here for a year (I'm English) and I've never had any problems. It's a very laid back town. If you are imagining Tarapoto to be typical, lush jungle then you may be disappointed. I fly LATAM quite often, Avianca international not for a dozen years or so. I recall the change of plane in Bogotá as being very efficient: you don't leave the international transit area. But that only covers the cost of the car. You really need to talk to your car insurance company, too, to see if they cover you for liability in foreign countries.
